... the weather was ****** and I was just not into Iasi. The only thing that made me smile was the restaurant and bar named FAGET....yeah.....I'm still 12......
I'm sure the this is a great town but I caught it on the wrong day with the worst weather so I jumped on a bus to Moldova.

Probably the worst city in the world
... if we could not see anything). Yeah... sure... we'll pay once the works are over. We browsed through our guide to find something else worth seeing but resigned after a while. The city itself was a communist nightmare - so tons and tons of concrete - apartment blocks of twenty or so floors, colorless and scary. To end the day, we did visit one of the nearby monasteries, but that's all I could write about it...

First day in Romania
Quick update.
Check-in at the airport yesterday was quite quick and we were both able to go through immigration even though there was such a big gap between our flights. We said our good -byes at my gate and we left our separate ways (Alex to Singapore --> Sydney; and I to Bucureshti--> Iasi)
Istanbul --> Bucureshti was a lonely but pleasant flight where I had an awesome romanian cheese sandwhich and some sort of ...
Flying into Iasi and then visiting Husi and Vaslui
Our flight from Rome to Iasi was a bit of a nightmare. First we were delayed in Rome by more than an hour, then the Saab turboprop flew through turbulence most of the way, then our connection in Timisoara was delayed by another 2h (to accommodate the first delay). That flight on an ageing jet was also unpleasant as for some reason the emergency exit on the right side of the plane emitted a high ...
