The more I stretch my money the longer I can travel so hitting a town with expensive accommodation is a budget killer! I arrived in this party town on a Sunday night....the bars were dead...so I retired to my room to sulk....the next day was a cold, grey and rainy.... The sites ...
... option seemed to be vegetating in our hotel room... luckily enough we found a mall nearby and decided to take a look at the shops and go to a cinema (as all the movies are screened in English with Romanian subs). We chose Smurfs and were delighted :) Before midnight, we were happy that we did not have to spend any more time here and we could leave early morning and head north to Moldavia region to see the painted monasteries.
Check-in at the airport yesterday was quite quick and we were both able to go through immigration even though there was such a big gap between our flights. We said our good -byes at my gate and we left our separate ways (Alex to Singapore --> Sydney; and I to Bucureshti--> Iasi)
Istanbul --> Bucureshti was a lonely but pleasant flight where I had an awesome romanian cheese sandwhich and some sort of ...
... we drove to the scenic part of Iasi, and walked around a few of the parks there.
The next day, we travelled to Husi, and had a quick shower before Ioana's other uncle Aurel picked us up and drove us to Vaslui (45 min drive) where Ioana's dad's family resides. We had an excellent lunch of borsch and chicken, and drank some very strong palinka (pear brandy). After lunch we walked with ...
I want to ask you something. You ask me for pictures and notes in my blog.
It takes me a lot of effort to bring light to my traveling for you!! ;)
So I would really appreciate your comments and feedback. So I can at least know that you watch them. Otherwise I feel like I am doing useless work ... :(
I would like to know if somebody reads what I write as well.
