      Once I got settled into my room at Casa Iacob, I took a short nap and got refreshed. Naps are fine during travel as long as you set an alarm and keep it short. I find them helpful with combating jet lag. Alex at the hotel is so sweet and hospitable.

      ... last shift with the beautiful babies and then we'll be packing to leave on Saturday. Every minute has been an experience and we've got such amazing memories to treasure. Can't believe we've been here for 3 weeks- it's absolutely flown by!!!! We feel so safe and comfortable in Brasov and feel like we've grown up here haha!       ... that most of the fireworks they were letting off had actually been banned in New Zealand years ago! The fireworks which were let off were quite scary as there was a massive crowd and we heard windows smashing. It was really weird seeing so many sober people at New Years compared to back home haha.       ... then went and got an amazing lunch from a German cafe - I had pizza bread and a muffin. We then walked to the train station when it was -11 degrees. It's a long story as to why we did this in the first place but it ended up taking us and hour each way which was not ideal in the cold. I ended up completely numb.
