Reasons to be cheerful !
... drawback, no internet at the villa. Señor y Señora have to trudge along the beach to a bar about 2 kilometres away. It's tough !
Day two - would you believe it - the worst storms for years hit both the Costa Blanca and Costa Del Sol. We are in the middle of it. The timing is perfect, the motorhome is parked up, lashed by wind and rain, but we aren't in it. (see what I mean about luck!!!!).

Fruit and Nuts !
... going to the showers by herself - it's her quickest on record. It is economic madness. Weirder still is the complex next door that is associated with the site. An outdoor pool, numerous tennis courts, cafeteria and restaurant, horse riding school, dog kennels but strangest of all, a zoo!!! It was obviously developed for the good times, there is even a security guard employed all night on the gate. An eccentric millionaire owner perhaps!!

... koffie en sigaretje erbij,wat wil een mens nog meer? janneke en René lagen heel ongegeneerd steeds mensen uit te lachen, écht schandelijk, je kunt ze er eigenlijk niet bij hebben!!! s'avonds in het restaurant eten met aangepaste kleding,pumps,gala en niet te vergeten,bling,bling!wij hebben onze ogen uitgekeken,men kon foto's laten maken en was daar ook helemaal op gekleed,prachtig!! Vooral de amerikanen alhier ...
Anchovies,asparagus or artichokes! (Caroline)
... Tim very kindly reminded me of when we first met........ I used to get confused and found it hard to remember which was anchovies, which was asparagus and which was artichokes.! So if there were anchovies in a menu I'd have to check with Tim which one they were of the 3 ! Amazing to me today of course since I am sooooooo posh I eat them all regularly. The food was good simple hearty food- salad , chicken soup followed by pork loin. a taxi home ended the day ...
Almerimar, Granada and seaside commune
... 25E from a guy at the pub and went off to Granada for the day. The place is so popular we had to buy the tickets 3 weeks previously and hope that we could get there ok. Heather had spotted the van for hire and told us about it. Otherwise it meant hiring a car for 3 days at 135€. It was an easy drive along the motorways to Granada and then signs to the Alhambra Palace.
We spent a wonderful afternoon and evening in the grounds of this fabulous world ...
