awhile, we came back to the house and had Andy's (Chris's uncle) legendary
traditional fondue. Fondue is originally cheese based not chocolate! And oh my
god, it was to die for! To eat fondue, you pierce the bread with a fork and dip
it in a spirit ...

Tuesday morning we drove to the Val da Camp (in the Bernina Pass). We parked the car and hiked in to Lungacqua Sac. Saoseo Refugio for the night. (Shane and I drove this road 7 years ago in rain so intense it was like driving on a river. The walking path we took to the lake actually begins next to the restaurant where we stopped for a rest! We had no idea of the beauty we missed.)

Quick entry to reflect a lunch stop in Liechtenstein. This tiny country is most famous for selling postage stamps, and the fact that almost every European tour operator includes a few minutes here so they can boast of another country visited. Now that I think about it, maybe that 's what we did :-)
The next (crazy!) idea I had was to tackle the Nebelhorn - http://www.das-hoechste.de/en/summer/mo untains/nebelhorn/ which is just a four hour drive away in the Allgäu. The point of this madness was that from the bottom (815m) to the top (2224m) is around the same climb as I will do in Nepal (up to 1420m!). This was definitely the most difficult walking I've done so far. It was so steep at times with a variety of terrains from walking on tarmac roads ...
