... Gough museum & Rijksmuseum, but it started to rain. Running out of time, we decided to go only to Rijksmuseum to pose infront of the "I Amsterdam" sign. My gosh that's a popular thing for tourists to do! We spent a good 30min trying to take photos but everyone else was in the way!! In the end, we took photos of the sign from the back. Someone will photoshop the images to flip the photos from back to front so it reads 'I amsterdam'. ...

... even the dogs; bikes with child seats in front and behind; bikes with saddle bags or "boots" on the back for carrying belongings or children. I saw bicycles built for two and three adults; riders conducting mobile phone conversations while weaving through traffic, and even rickshaw type vehicles. ... comfortable stay. Another thing we noticed on our trip to Utrecht is that as we got closer and closer to the station, we saw more and more bike parking cages packed completely full of bikes. It was still nothing compared to when we actually made it out of the train station and started to walk to Raldi's house. Bikes, bikes everywhere, I had never seen anything like it. And not just in Utrecht but Amsterdam and other small towns we would go to, the Dutch just seem ...

After a 6 hour journey we arrived in Utrecht, a university city just south of Amsterdam. As it was coming up to 7pm by this point our only concern was booking a hostel to stay at, and so we found ourselves an Internet cafe from where we managed to sort something out. After a little issue with the map reading and a run in with hoards of cyclists we arrived at the hostel knackered but keen to explore. As it turned out the hostel wasn't exactly the cleanest of places ...
