Last night we had just gone to bed when church bells very close by started ringing and ringing and ringing. It must have lasted 60 seconds and rang 100 times (Dale tried to count) and was quite loud. We thought it might be signaling an alert of some kind. Nope. This morning, at 8:00 they started again. The alarm woke me at 6am – Jase after a ****** nights sleep, was allowed another half hours grace before he had to get up because I needed the sheets and towels. With 3 loads of washing to get through and wanting to grab the machines before anyone else, I was keen to start the epic day of cleaning and packing.

Determined not to leave the camper in such a sorry state as when we had found it, we set about sorting what was staying and packing what was going into some sort ...

... to hold Micaela's hand and being a gentleman, give the ladies a wave now and again as we walked by. There have been discussions in the past about making prostitution illegal, but from talking to the locals and watching a documentary on it a year ago, it seems it is a lot safer for everyone to keep the industry legal. We were pretty late to get to the city that day though, and since Erik was coming up from Rotterdam to see us for dinner that night, we made our ...
