... town to the other. Life is slow and relaxed in Lucca. People take time for the afternoon rest and all is quite. Around four everyone is out and about and it is quite busy on the walking streets.

We spent time sitting in cafes, drinking wine, watching people, biking, and taking it all in. Katie of course enjoyed gelato here..and even got to sit on a swing while eating.

... We lucked out with no rain while we ate outside. Returning to continue our walk around the wall, we could see the clouds moving in again. At the next walkway down, we needed the restroom so, we made a stop at the visitor center (which had some interesting, self-cleaning, pay toilets...).
