... Feeling refreshed all we needed to do now was find a toilet for Katie. Abandoning the tour for a while was the only option. After getting rejected from a number of cafes I've never seen such a big smile when Katie finally was permitted to use a toilet in one. Back on track, Emma was able to finish the tour and get us back to the bus stop perfectly timed so that we could step onto the bus back to the train station. Picked up our bags and got ...

... of the free breakfast. Up at one of the top positions of free breakfasts so far with cereal, toasts, biscuits and tea! Using the bus, which we thought was great because we didn't have to pay, we made our way to sirmione. Guess what we had? Of course pizza! Although ...

Dumb tourist faces came out as we acted as if we didn't even know what a reservation was. The conductor either couldn't be ...

I don't want to leave Verona specifically because of the air conditioning. Did something really stupid. I decided to walk to the train station. I thought if I walked slowly it would be okay. Not a good idea. Very hot. I watched a bit of the Italian TV news and I think they were saying most of Europe is experiencing a heat wave. I'm counting the seconds until I board the train. AND guess what? Now that I'm on board the ...

Observations Sometimes one has to be the master of their own fate. As in Greece when I chose to visit the acropolis da sola-alone- so this morning I decided I will travel to Verona. Annalia has taken on a translation job and the weather will be extremely hot no matter where I am. Three hours on an air conditioned train will not be hard to take. I bought a first class ticket for the Frecciabianca, I have a hotel reservation ...
