During the night a change in the weather seemed to blow into the Pacific Rim and Tofino area. We woke up to light clouds, thick fog offshore and a wind. The wind was notably blowing leaves and sand around. The days of sunny blue skies seemed to be limited as was our Journey. With no big plans for the day we took it easy. I had schoolwork I needed to start for classes on the horizon so I spent ...

... then the fog bank will roll in for a few days until the sun is hot enough to burn it off again. A few days of sun, then here comes the fog again and around it goes... Still too weird for me having fog last all day, give me the sunshine any day! After our morning beach walk we went for a drive down to Chesterman Beach and Long Beach for a look. Ben is still dead keen for a surf but the weather is pretty **** so he's holding out for another day. We stopped in at the "Live to Surf" ...

... the last photo of the sun as it started over the horizon of Spain. It promised to be another hot day. It was kind of fun flying into Amsterdam as we had left there on July 2. I pointed out the huge roof of Centraal Station as we approached the city. It brought back pleasant memories of our week in Holland.

Our stop over in Schiphol was about 3 hours, time enough for Debbie to find a bag of fresh Holland tulip bulbs that had to be purchased. It was fun ...
