(Guidebooks say it is exuberant, colorful and joyful!). While worth seeing, and pausing for a few moments to light a candle for all our loved ones, the thirty minutes there was enough. Our stair-weary legs and feet were happy to head back to our hotel in Austria. We got out of the bus about 500 meters (1/3 ...

Salzburg is a lovely little town where we had a few free hours to wander around and get acquainted with it. The horse and cart rides are very popular here in Austria and there were plenty of them around Salzburg. Also it's not unusual to see the locals in their traditional ...

... have to admit, that even for a bloke, it is an amazing place! Absolutely everything in the place sparkles, from the stairs, to the tables, to the toilets..... So we spent a while there as Treas sampled everything, and bought virtually nothing, and then did a general wander around the old town which has a quite a nice feel to it, and parts date back to the 1500s. Will post this now while I still have good wifi, and try to come back to it ...
