We woke up super early, 5:30 am (10:30 pm CST). Sara and her dad had picked out pastries from a local bakery for breakfast the night before, and we ran down to the cable car lifts to Mont Blanc to wait in line and eat them! We caught the two cable cars to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the view for about 2 hours! It was glorious seeing the beautiful ...

... miles down a valley, with other high glaciers right next to it. You can ski, snowshoe, and hike in the snow below. There is also a park with tubing, downhill skiing, and other fun where you can rent equipment to play in the snow. The views are great in every direction and we soak them all in. An hour passed while we weighed the options. We ultimately decided we would regret not going and stuck with our original plan. The ride up took 2.5 hours with two train transfers and a lot of uphill tracks. The views we saw on the way up were almost worth the cost. We saw the North Face of Eiger ...

... have to swallow your pride.

The view was the best I had ever seen anywhere in the world. To get that full 360 view which I've never experienced before was incredible. I don't know if it was the high altitude and lack of oxygen but I was over the moon. After the couple left I was the only one up there so I proceed to take photos of myself jumping around and video swirling around. After about 40 mins up there I started to make my way down and ...

... in the past. It is in a perfect 'U' shape as glaciers create different shaped gorges to those created by rivers which are in the common 'V' shape as water collects in the middle. The bottom is lush greenery and at the very top there are snow-topped peaks and grey glaciers. During the day the sun melts the glaciers and there are hundreds of small waterfalls that topple off the cliffs into the valley. This water is pure ...
