We woke up super early, 5:30 am (10:30 pm CST). Sara and her dad had picked out pastries from a local bakery for breakfast the night before, and we ran down to the cable car lifts to Mont Blanc to wait in line and eat them! We caught the two cable cars to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the view for about 2 hours! It was glorious seeing the beautiful ...

We get into a cute little restaurant where we are clearly the only English speakers, if not the only non-locals. ... to the ski town. We got off in Interlaken and our hostel, Alp Lodge, ended up being right down the street. We went in and checked in with the woman at the bar and then headed up to our room to shower and get ready for the next day. Our room was really nice, except we found out through the weekend that me and Carly’s bunk bed squeaked like a mouse…all the time! We had also not thought through the fact that the plugs in southern Europe are different than the ...

... didn’t pay to get in. Couldn’t quite get down to the Trummelbach (the white river cruising through town) which was a pity but it was very cold all around and like the earlier Stuabbachfalls very refreshing.

Got back to camp around quarter past five and did a bit of blogging and sorting of photos while the old man necked a beer or two. Mum had gone off to the staubbachfalls herself and when she got back we had some wine to go with the ...
