We woke up super early, 5:30 am (10:30 pm CST). Sara and her dad had picked out pastries from a local bakery for breakfast the night before, and we ran down to the cable car lifts to Mont Blanc to wait in line and eat them! We caught the two cable cars to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the view for about 2 hours! It was glorious seeing the beautiful ...

... get a photo of one. I must add cream slices are ridiculously delicious. Any way we left the train after nearly an hour of up hill slogging to some of the most amazing scenery I have seen since Saturday.  As we walked along the narrow mountain trail looking over beautiful valleys and stunning snow capped peaks, one of our adventurers Tim Goldfinch spotted a marmot watching us from the other side of the trail, ...

    Paris to Interlaken

... pretty tired so a slept for the fist hour but then when I tried to do some work on the computer I felt sick which made the next hour very uncomfortable. There is nothing worse than when you are sick on a plane or train - you are trapped and only have access to very shoddy bathroom facilities. I survived though and as we approached Interlaken, seeing the huge mountains I was reminded as too how much I love this country. I spent about ...
