... kulki.

Nara, Kinki, Japan ania-maciek... dinner back in Kyoto, taking the same train from JR Nara to the main Kyoto station.
Our dinner was that of Yakiniku, meaning "grilled meat", is a Japanese term which, in its broadest sense, refers to grilled meat dishes. It was all you can eat, as long as you can do it in 2 hours, including beers/sake as well! We just feast on it as much as we can. That wound up our second day in Japan. So far so good!
nara, Japan nienke78... developed residential areas... I followed the info in LP; took the bus from Nara JR Station. Although I tried to listen to the Japanese announcements as carefully as I could, couldn`t catch the name of my stop. As a result, I got off at the last stop. By communicating with the driver through sign language, I figured out how to get to the hostel. I was there 20 minutes later. The Nara Youth Hostel was stunning. It was a large, kind-a Soviet-style, complex with ...

Nara, Kinki, Japan dacraic... there isn't much to say except for that is is definitely the place to be. We've seen some traditional Zen Gardens, which really are quite tranquil, and its all to easy to just sit there with your green tea and get lost in your thoughts. Today we saw Kinkaku-ji or the Golden Pavilion; another one of Japan's most iconic destinations. We also went to a temple, whose gardens feature in the movie Lost in Translation; the bit where Scarlett Johanson's character goes to Kyoto. I ...
Kyoto, Kinki, Japan missface... nd oldest wooden structure; which is, impressively, due to fires *nd gener*l *ging, only one third of its origin*l size. Needless to s*y the visit w*s nothing short of bre*tht*king, *nd the surviving structure * true test*ment to J*p*nese *rchitecture. The Buddh*'s st*tue itself is just so liter*lly overwhelming in its sheer immensity th*t words c*nnot do it justice. It must be seen to be believed. An experience, I liken to the loc*ls *nnu*l L*ntern Festiv*l, 'Setsubun', which we h*d ...
Kyoto, Kinki, Japan tomfonderThe southern isl*nd of J*p*n, Kyushu, is often neglected in its visits by foreigners *nd tr*velers of the world. Fukuok* (or H*k*t*), its c*pit*l city, doesn't offer much in the w*y of sight seeing *nd *dventure. But its the tiny little towns th*t br*nch off from the m*in c*pit*l th*t m*ke Kyushu * pl*ce I wish we spent more time in. Kyoto, Kinki, Japan missface... teaching Japanese out here his linguistic skills came in handy but I soon regretted bolstering his vocabularly with Nigiri Boobu as he began thinking about testing the phrase on a passing waitress. Luckilly, he backed down and we weren't thrown out into the street. We tried to track down Aussie Rob's sister earlier in the evening but only got a ansaphone. It seems a safe bet that we got the right number though as the greeting was Men at Work's Down Under. Will try again ...
Kyoto, Japan kevin.mcallion... ami to ask her. she replied saying it means "over there,@over there!" well, 7 cabs later, they all told me to take a different cab...i have no idea why. so i kept walking "over there" and now i`m lost. i`m in a really shady part of town where men in suits keep handing me cards for pink houses(*****-houses), to let you know what kind of area i`m in. the subways don`t run until 5, and even then, i have gone so far OVER THERE that i am completely lost. it`s 1:30 ...
