I sat for a bit outside Utsunomiya Station to gather myself. There was a train just after 5:00 pm, but I'd get to K's Hostel Mt. Fuji at 11:00 pm. I could stay the night, see the race track tomorrow, then go to Mt. Fuji. Except there are only buses to Motegi and can't find a ...

... larger than the one at Railway Village yesterday. It was certainly very impressive. I guess every train enthusiast would like to have one in his/her backyard. It's a pity again that it was all in Japanese and we couldn't understand a word of it.

The official unveiling of the first shinkansen service was on the 1st of October, 1964, in time for the Tokyo Olympics. The trial runs had been ongoing for at least a year prior to ...

Final preps done and just relaxing today. Marc giving his last seminar. They are giving us a goodbye party this evening and heading home tomorrow. What a summer it has been and life changing too. I am now a Chiari Brain Surgery survivor, my year anniversary is tomorrow. I did it!!!!! Yeah. If I can conquer this I can conquer ANYTHING!!! Thank you Japan for giving me guidance, strength, courage, kindness and so much more. You will always have a special place in my ...
