... were introduced to our Vietnamese guide who calls himself Michael to make it easier for tourists. The bus journey lasted 3 and half hours - with a short stop at a shop/cafe. The views from the dock even looked amazing so we were excited to get out on the bay. The outline of the day was cruising around the islands, ...
... a nice restaurant recommended in a guidebook we've picked up - a much needed purchase explaining everything we'll need for Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Northern Thailand. We've also booked a tour for tomorrow morning, to see Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, kayak round some caves, do a bit of snorkelling and generally have an exciting, adventurous day of exploring!
