    ... St Jean where we found a sandwich place. Lori, Steve, Peter and I were sitting there when Tom ca me by.. He came and joined us and told us the story of a little dog we had all seen on the side of the road, which was now in the van with Caroline who was attempting to find the owner.     Well this day was truly a slice. I left the hotel with Peter, Steve and Gilles at 8:30, and arrived at the hotel in Prades at 7 pm. The nominal route was 115 Kms with 6 climbs.

    Our little group cut off the first two climbs thus reducing the length by about 12 Kms. We then started our climb of the Col de Pailheres which took us to 2001 metres, with the last 450 metres of altitude being done ...

    We followed this country road through very Spanish-looking little towns all the way to Argeles-sur-Mer. At Sorede, however, we started getting word that Mesfin was lost. Not good.

    ... Spain our diet consists of lots and lots of olivas; olive oil, and tapas of shellfish, sausage, and hams . The water in the bay's are a most vivacious blue and fabulous to swim. Our time spent at Cala Joncols may well be the most beautiful time spent on this trip.
