... AVE high speed train. It goes 300 km an hour and get you there in 90 minutes. It was so fun that we did an AVE-inspired day trip to Cordoba. That was three AVE hours -- but it was a lovely way to see a place we might have otherwise missed. It was a 20 mile ride with 6 continuous miles uphill with a gradient ranging from 7-13%, unfortunately the steepest part was near the top, where we were also surprised to see snow on the side of the road! It was a totally amazing ride with some brilliant hairpin bends and breathtaking scenery all the way.
