And then a visit to Gugilonesi to share a night with Bea and Gert and John and Lyn.What a wonderful guitarist Gert is! Bea can sing well too ...... we just kept the beat and hummed!
'OK', the newly learned card game, is almost to the 'point counting' stage!
... we go to their favourite gelato place, two deserts is a bit much, but when in Italy! We wave off Al's friends before heading back to her apartment to collect some items to take to a Vinnie's bin. We walk through the streets of Torino one last time and pass the church where the holy shroud is currently on display.
I wave goodbye to Alex as she heads to the kid's schools one last time and her American friend drives me to the train station.

... fantastic.. great sea village.. we walk around checking out the stone church and then had sorbet. We headed down to the beach and walked in the water.. we sat with refreshments as Rose went for a swim.. she said it was perfect.
After we headed back to the villa for lunch and rest.. tonight we are out to dinner with everyone in at the seaside town Termoli..which will be terrific.. Tomorrow its off to Rome to catch a train to Venice...
... and came across an old man collecting snails; he had about 2 gallons so far in a large plastic bag. He was very industrious and excited about the future of his snails. He also knew how we could get to our destination (hint: in the opposite direction). On the way to town, we found a cheese wonderland with aged cheeses, spiced cheeses and barrels of fresh bufala mozzarella. The later of which became our lunch. Things tend to work out. Thank you ...
Today Susan and I crossed 1,000 kilometers pedaled so far! Although we are still along the coast, the terrain has become more hilly and much more rural south of Pescara. The shore is dotted with little fishing villages and roadside stands where the fisherman sell their daily catch. We stopped in the town of San Salvo Marina, got a beach front hotel room, slept on the beach for a while and then enjoyed another great fish dinner. Thanks for coming ...
