    Today we completed our first bike trip following the Loire river valley from Orleans to the Atlantic Ocean.  For this complete tour duration we will follow the Loire a Velo bike path, a paved/gravel path that is very well signed.  We were a bit concerned that the tour operator did not provide a GPS with the bike rental, we only received maps and queue sheets that indicated the km numbers and where to turn at the intersections.  After ...

    ... get to the correct platform. A nice old man in the station noticed our panicky state and directed us to where to catch the train. When we arrived in the stated location, it was the Metro train station, not the regional train station. We spoke to another information booth and was directed to the proper location. Running all the way to the platform and on to the train with 1 minute to spare prior to departure. Lesson learned do not take any advice ...

    ... didn't appear to be getting anywhere near to anything we remembered. My only hope was that the signs kept saying Gare Sud and I knew we had come out at the north entrance when we arrived. But the bubble of panic was there as we were not sure if it was going to be a completely different train station. Luckily, it wasn't and we made it to the station well within time for the train!
