    ... We drove to Le Touquet, arriving at lunchtime. We had a cuppa in the Manior Hotel. It was very busy with the French golfers, Maybe it's match day. The outside is having a big paint job done, the inside looks the same. When we walked over to the golf course we had quite a shock! The clubhouse is gone, and an enormous one is in the process of being built. There's a portocabin being used to pay in, and as a pro shop. There's no changing room ...

    ... it's not surprising the local restaurants offer "fish if the day" on their menu. Time for a hot drink and lunch we made our way back to town. Sale à l'étage had seats in the sun so that's where we had a tea/coffee and a panini. It got so warm we took our ***********. 18°! We walked, uphill now, back towards the old town. We took more photos of various statues of art, before deciding it was time for a nice large glass ...

    ... our souvenir. Dave said if we walk downhill we will reach the sea, and the fishing port. Wrong...but we did see the old town and many of its monuments. Back at the Hotel at dusk, the cathedral is lit up and the sky is a lovely shade of pink. A good omen for tomorrow maybe. We went back out at 7pm to join the locals in town for dinner. Locals...that's a laugh, the majority in the restaurant were English! There were about six ...
