      ... River, near Phantom Ranch. It's interesting to note that the heavy, 2" steel cables are over 500 feet long and were carried to the bottom of the canyon on human shoulders. We crossed one at the bottom of the Bright Angel trail and the other on the way out, as we started up the steeper South Kaibab trail.

      ... in period dress. Fun. All this time the Las Golndrinas were riding around the park inviting people to come and see their show. Then out in the park there were more dancers and watchers to watch and take pictures of. Another walk through Casa de Estudillos with pictures of the back yard. The horse show was very good.       ... in the "splash zone" the show began. The Shamu were amazingly beautiful and graceful for their size and had a little bit of cheekiness as well. A few jumps in the air, a slide on and off the stage, fish and ice treats; they then went around the perimeter of the enclosure and "splashed" everyone in the "splash zone". We were close enough to the enclosure to get a fantastic view of the show and far enough away that we only felt a little of the water spray as those below us ducked ...

      ... the miniature towns and cities, rollercoasters, and Star Wars vinettes. This place is awesome for kids of all ages!

      Spent a day playing at the beach, feeling very bohemian and wishing that we could surf (that will be a must learn on our next adventure!). The Pacific Ocean is not too warm at this time of year, but you can still enjoy the warm sunshine and the sand in your toes!
