... that was constructed almost completely with cacti... wood? The firewood, furniture and souvenirs were all made from the solid moth eaten substance. Here we had the best coffee of the trip that came right off an old stove that an old women lit with a cigarette lighter. ... we had very few maps and I was in the final few days of an upper respiratory virus. All seemed to be bad omens. We did well with only one 20 minute detour just north of Cabo due to a missed turn. We made one quick pit stop in Todos Santos to walk around and visit the Hotel California. Located just off the water the small town was a great place to explore and pop in and out of bars or art shops. There was a music festival in town and we were sad to miss one of my favorite bands ...

... we needed to get south and it being a Friday afternoon it appeared as though this was the plan of a significant number of other people - so we experienced the Las Angeles traffic first hand but eventually made it down to San Diego by 21h00. A quick visit to "Flippin Pizza" for some supper (huge Pizza's - one and a quater fed our entire starving 6) and some online shopping for tomorrows tickets and we were in bed fast ...

... was pretty much common for most fizzy drinks here in Mexico. I don’t think I’ve seen a nation get through so much Coca Cola, but whatever they do to it here it tastes soooooo good (no doubt my growing addiction would get worse…)

But anyway, some dude drove me to the ***** I was at the day before, where from there I joined my group of sixty something (that’s years old) American tourists, and headed out on the boat towards a remote group ...

... bad luck began for me. I’ll sum this up in my next update because it overlaps with Seattle; my next destination!

*If you’re reading this James, I would like to clarify that I did not at any point swing from your chandeliers, mainly because you don’t have any chandeliers. If you did have a chandelier, I cannot guarantee that I wouldn’t have tried it.
