It was an outstanding stay in this hotel, it's right in the center of Misawa.
Great facility and service, tasty food and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Lots of festivities, like Cherry Blossom festival.

The parade was led off by about 300 motorcycles from across northern Japan and some from as far away as Tokyo. Many, many Harleys and plenty of custom bikes, trikes, spiders, and even ...
... well against scenery, but with the leaves at the height of their colors, we actually blended in. Good thing none of us had to be rescued! :o)
All in all, it was a great day. I'm sure my arms, shoulders and neck will remind me tomorrow how much fun it was, but it was well worth it. Just an absolutely great day to be on the water and in Japan!
After returning to Misawa after the great Fuji & Tokyo adventures, I was greeted by the lights, sounds and smells of the local Misawa Tanabata Festival.

... it on the map on my iPhone, so I tried out the "Directions to" function and I got there without a hitch. After I was done looking through the crazy collection of just about anything you could think of, I thought I'd give the old iPhone another work-out and see if it could get me home.
...the fact that I'm typing this tells you I made it home :o) Great ...
... was REALLY whipping ...but I kept going! As you can see, I was properly attired ... no exposed skin! Luckily, the wind was at my back going up. Coming down it was a bit brisk as it found a few spots to sneak in around the goggles.
