... without any neighbors. The sun shone from a blue, cloudless sky, so we decided to head to the beach. We realized quickly, however, that the steep switchbacks leading down to town on the coast took us into the fog and brought our thermostat from 79 degrees to 58 in a matter of minutes. Our first stop was the boat launch beach, a tucked away cove filled with local fisherman waiting to head out on the water. We wandered down the beach through ...

We about to drive through a Redwood Tree...gotta go!! THAT was FUN! Although...literally...there were only a couple inches to spare! $5.00 well spent! haven't done THAT in a long time!! We are just about to the Ave of the Giants...a side road to Hwy 101 just North of Garberville. 32 Miles of big beautiful redwoods. We still have about an hour of light and Steve and I. ... State Park. And we all know what they grow in Humboldt County. That's right class, Big Trees. Huge trees. Good thing we dried out because it's dark in these trees. Daylight savings time my ass. Get that fire started, it is dark in here. Great campsite, but you need to wear headlamps, there, that's better. (Bobby got a new 80l lum Pitzel. Now, no more stumbling on roots in the dark. More pics to follow as soon as we get them back from the ...

... Halfway through the walk we took a gondola ride to the top of a ridge to view the redwoods from a different angle. After all this over whelming tree fun we drove northwards and into Crescent City. I chose an RV park for us to stay in by the water which looked nice from the outside but looked quite different once we were inside and had paid for the night! We have since being after a lot of fun talking about ...
