26.10.14 Left Schwangau today and drove through Austria with snow all around us and to the Waldheim Hotel in the Valle Di Casies in the heart of the Dolomites. There is snow all around us but the roads are clear. It is a really picturesque area, not much to do except admire the scenery. Today we began the mammoth task of packing and then saying goodbye to everyone as this was our last day in Trentino. I've decided I'm brave enough to have a crack at driving! So I did a little driving yesterday and today I drove us up the mountain to San Martino. Paul forgot to sort out his international license before we left and has been driving without it so I figure its not much different me driving :) ...
Today we had lunch with Johns side of the family (the ones that live in Trentino) at their family restaurant Lanterna Verde (green lantern). John's sister Angela was there, with 6 out of her 8 kids, some of their partners and some of their kids! Some of them work at the restaurant, and some just joined us for lunch.
