We are beginning our climb inland toward Matera, a town almost entirely carved from limestone. Somehow however we entered the Bermuda Triangle of Italy today. After almost an hour of pedaling on decreasing paved roads and many dead ends, we fortunately found the way out.

Contrary to what many think, hair actually does grow on my head - just not on top. ...

At night, we danced in his studio and also slept there. For the next two nights since we finished dancing late, we ate dinner at this delizisio baguette place (fancy version of Subway) and for dessert, a tantalising chocolate soufflè. 14-16th @ Giuseppe's dance studio: ...

Sweetness and Light (trulli, madly, deeply!!!!).

Back in harmony, the three of us visit Cisternino and Locorotondo and pass many Trulli houses. Cylindrical stone whitewashed structures with conical stone clad roofs built by peasants, encouraged by landowners who avoided paying tax since they were deemed moveable structures. Many are now gentrified and included in modern villas with mixed success. We manage to avoid the tourist magnet that is Alberobello, all gift ...
