    ... down the countryside became greener, and the livestock returned to sheep and cows. At a village called Gulpinar we stopped for icecream and some other supplies.     ... borrow a couple of chairs and a small table and watch people pottering around. A man probably in his 40's stopped to talk to us, he works for Turkish Airlines and spoke good English, we chatted about the UK, which he knew all the airports! And our travel plans, he told us if we needed anything just ask as he was about all evening.
    In the evening there was a party and disco close by,it was still going on as we went to bed, but fortunately it wasn't too loud and finished around ...

    ... and sugar and formed into blocks, we chose the chocolate one. We set off north heading for our next stop, we climbed quite high into the hills, we passed quite a few picnic sites along the way, but opted for a spot on a wide pull of at the top of the windy road.     ... quick! More wild gesticulating as we inch our way back and finally leave the chaos behind. First time we have ever been in a bazaar and not been forced to buy a carpet! But there is more...the next road takes us into the fruit and veg market and we are trapped. Ian hops out of the car and finds old mate Turkish man and says "We are mad Australians and are lost can you help us get back to the main road". He laughs and personally escorts Ian with us ...

    ... s longest building, the Red Basilica dedicated to St John the Apostle. It was a bit of a disappointment ... It was being renovated and covered in scaffolding. We did get to have a hour hour stroll along the little village which was in no way touristy, just the locals going about their daily business. Re boarding our coach, we continued north.
