... his Mercedes stretch limo!! Not such a posh vehicle it was 20 years old and there was not an undented panel, but he got us there safely another group of 6 in a mini van had to stop half way as it had over heated!

Hotel was just lovely, sat on the terrace enjoying the view, played cards and drank wine of course, found some dinner at a nearby restaurant (pasta and pizza... yummo) and off to bed.

Next morning we managed to get back down to the “autostrade” and continued south till we found Pozzallo which is in the southern most tip of Sicily and the ferry for Malta. Sicily is very much cleaner and tidier ...

Next up it is back onto the night train onto the ferry and up to Salerno near Pompeii. This time we intend to get off the train go up into the ferry and take a look at the sights from the ferry. Thankfully this will be during the daylight hours. Our plan now is to head to Salerno spent a couple of days there visit Pompeii Scarvi which is very close by and then head up to Rome.
