      ... invaders. They didn't work, as the Catalano-Aragonese took over the city in 1326 and threw out the Pisans who had only taken the place over in 1258. Anyway a climb up the steep wooden stairs is rewarded by expansive views across the city and the Gulfo Di Cagliari.       Today we went to the beautiful little city called Cagliari in Sardinia. When we wandered the streets mum, dad and I found a little crypt next to a church were they used to do pagan worship. We've seen as much under the cities as we have above. Then it was used in world war two as a bomb shelter.
      As we wandered further, after the city walls gate, we found a neat bits and pieces shop where I found fabulous cat glasses (see picture). Unfortunately ...

      ... as clear as we have had, but very refreshing.
      Then a short walk to see the flamingos on the ancient roman salt pans. (The romans used the salt for preserving their goods-very extensive).
      Back on the bus and home for a siesta.
      Thank god graham'had a calzone.
