... saying amongst themselves that it must be the right train after all. But, those doubters continued to express fear until we arrived at Blakenberge one stop and a few minutes later.

Melissa and I, exhausted and hurting, ran up to the lounge to have afternoon tea in the lovely atmosphere provided, including lovely music provided by a string quartet of young ladies. What a life after all.

... Game of Thrones. One painting, not far from the front door is of a dude being skinned alive. For those art enthusiasts it was the "Judgement of Cambyses" by Gerard David. Next to it was the "Allegory of peace in the lower countries" by Pieter II Claeissens. The ladies had their puppies out all over the place in that one, the gents were modestly covered of course. ... went to a free harp concert by Luc Vanlaere. He played his own compositions and he was quite good! Some of his music sounded Renaissance - like and some avant guarde. He also played some unique Eastern instruments and a Swiss variation on the steel drum. Everything here is expensive! Lian told us about a place with cheaper "take-away" Italian food but in general it is really hard to find reasonable prices. We have breakfast at Lian's- nice, strong ...

... climbed 366 stairs to the top and up there is a panoramic view of the city. The view as beautiful but it is probably even better when the weather is nicer. After that we walked around town stopping in some chocolate shops and there was a market going on in the markt square with food and clothing stands.
