Again there were no motor vehicles, just the odd horse & cart or bike with a basket on front. The street met back with the small 'front'' of the town where before catching the return bus I took in the heavenly canal/quay which really makes Sluis Sluis. Perfectly lined tall trees line the waterway as it curves into the distance, trails of perfectly lined geese families also quacked whilst waddling along the side.

... way though the crowds to get back to the bike shop, in the end we were only a couple of minutes late, but we had made it.

We had dinner at the markets, and while we were eating we chatted to a couple a English teachers about the English invasion of Bruges as it is just a quick ferry trip across.

... all around the whole city. It's enclosed by a canal so it's impossible to get lost. We packed lunch and also headed to a cute little town 5 km away called Damme. It was so stunning ! Difficult riding on cobble stone with bikes but the view was worth it. We ate lunch in between some cows and a castle. We are not in Kansas anymore. ... as many tourists! The map also had lots of other interesting facts and tips and colour-coded points of interest including sightseeing, bars, food, going out & fries. Apparently fries are from Belgium and not France which meant we saw “frituurs” everywhere.
