    The present causeway is based on a Roman creation. It is some 4k long. The island is thought to be the Land of the Lotus Eaters, encountered by Odysseus on his return home from the Trojan War.

    ... stuff” to the tourists. This ksar was not nearly as nice as the first ksar and I quickly wanted out of there. I did, however, find a rather unique item: a stone and brass set of scales that looked like the scales of justice. Perfect for my office.
