      ... All the base henna is a pea green, later processing providing the reds, blacks, etc.

      After the tour Tony and I meandered. Somebody invited us inside his house as we wanted to take a picture of his exterior door. Exiting, we realized the house was attached to a mosque. Bearing in mind the chap's attire, he must have been an iman. It was a very nice gesture. Got some water 1 TD and off at 1340.

      Tuesday 23rd April

      This morning we visited the island of Djerba linked to the mainland by a 7k causeway across a shallow stretch of sea. The island is very low (15m max) & has many scattered houses between what were the oldest olive trees we have ever seen as with most Tunisian dwellings most under construction or semi derelict.       ... cocktail from the French menu and we all awaited its arrival. All looked good on first sight, until the first sip was taken and all fell into place. This is a predominately Muslim country and as such no alcohol is served. Chezzy a splashed out and bought himself a fruit juice mix with an assortment of umbrellas and swizzle sticks.
