... it was 20 degrees and even warmer out of the wind, blue sky, lovely. After food shopping, we unpacked and spent the evening chilling after having very little sleep, we were very happy to be back here again and looking forward to spending a month here. On Sunday we had our first beach walk which we loved to do last year so we were looking forward to walking by the water and taking in the lovely sea air, it was quite cloudy but not cold. During our long walk ...

... in the city. We asked about prices for the one or two day pass. The young woman who was helping us finally asked if we were seniors. We said yes and she said the card would not save us money because seniors already get a discount. She added that asking that question was "delicate." We thanked for her help. Tommorow we will start using the two day hop on/hop off bus pass we bought.

The Puerta del Sol (called the "heart of Madrid") was right up the street, so ...

    ... seen anything die before
and watching the helpless animal in the stadium changed me perspective on a lot
of things in life. In the bull fight, 6 bulls must be traditionally killed
before the show is over, we stayed for 4 killings and only 2 were done
traditionally. Although im thankful that I appreciated experiencing it for
myself, it is something I never want to have to see again. It revealed a lot about
the Spanish culture. During the fight I was kind of on ...
