Rafael, the owner is great. We did a little work in the school and then set off on a trek. Paths, through beautiful spanish countryside, with the occasional off-piste trek making our own paths through the woods. (It was more of on top and in the trees rather than through.) ... the history.

Phil, Sophie and Sue visited the Arab baths built in 1194 and we all then walked along the path that is called St Christopher's Way taking many photos. We all thought the city was very pretty and well worth the visit.

The spanish do speak very quickly but we have been getting by with Sue knowing some Spanish and Phil with his Italian which has similar words.

... a very high crime rate. Our hosts would never leave their house unoccupied which meant that one member of their family would always be at home for fear of a break in. They were unable to leave any tools out overnight as they would be stolen and felt the need to have guard dogs as a deterrent. So many brits apparently sell up and move to Spain without knowing about these facts and have a huge shock when they find out, we were more than happy to leave all of that behind.
