Leaving the Kremlin behind, I walked down the wide street until I came to the Kazan university, that counts Leo Tolstoy and Lenin amongst its alumni. It ever so lightly started raining as I headed back to Capital Coffee House for another coffee and sat and read for a while before buying some supplies for breakfast on the train. Having an earlyish dinner, I made my way back to the train station.

17km west of Yekaterinburg I cross from Asia into Europe and leave Siberia and cross the Urals into Russia proper. Siberia is flat and full of trees so everything is made of wood.
