We were woken up by the loud knock on the door from Oli who thought we may have slept in. Just as I scrambled for some pants, the 0430 alarm started blaring. We grabbed our stuff and followed out the door. Oli said the waves were suppose to be small and I could catch a few on a standup. I thought surfing in Brasil, I'll have a crack. Leesh grabbed the brick like body board they had and we set off in the dark to the beach. We made it just as the sun ...

We got up after a fair sleep in and cooked up breakfast and had some coffee before heading down to the main beach around 0930. A guy walked past us as we were checking out the map to find the hostel and asked if ...

Once again the body clocks got the better of us and we were up at 0630. We waited until the breakfast was ready and went out and were treated to the best buffet we have had in a while. It had the usual ham, cheese, eggs bread and cake but also had yoghurt and cereal. Perfect start for us. We only had one full day here in Natal so we went straight to the beach down the road. The beach there was quite nice and at one of the beach was a ...

Arrived in Natal in time for Mexico vs. Cameroon

... and Robert) which only our friend Mark R. rallied to stay up to welcome that group. We were too exhausted. Plus we had to be rested for the next day, because we were going to the Mexico vs. Cameroon game at the Natal Stadium! Everyone made it to the house and we were all revved up for our first World Cup experience! The one down side is that it was raining, and not just any rain. This was of monsoon proportions. I have only experience rainfall like this twice. ...
