... the hsotel our spirits were not really lifted. We found the Mayflower on the 16th floor of a high rised building. Not a pretty place but the security at the bottom were helpful. When we arrived at the entrance to the hostel the door was ajar but it was pitch black inside. After 15 minutes wondering and contemplating if this could possibly be the right place, a guy appeared confirming it was the hostel.

Today's window sketch from our apartment features a new sports centre all angles; I should earn some brownie points from Anne Langdon for doing what she asked which was to make a sketch from a window in each place we stay.
We ate a meal in one of the new shiny chrome shopping complexes, navigating the crowds looking, shopping and pushing their children who they had lifted into shopping trolleys.

The mail centre was no longer there but what was still there and strongly present were the beautiful plain trees that lined the entrance walkway.
The library was still in place but not the main office. It had been pulled down and replaced.

The lines to the flight kept changing and we kept moving with no idea whether it was correct or not.
Eventually the gate opened, the plane was sitting on the tarmac and everyone began running.
I turned to Pat and said, "You 'd think they had never been on a plane before. You just walk up and take your allocated seat."
As you probably can guess I was the dopey person because it was first in best seats ...
