... we signed up for a tour of some ruins. This area of the Turkish coast is rich with history. The Greeks, Lycians, and Romans all settled this area before the Seljuks and Ottomans. The Romans did a lot of building and unfortunately, latter groups often tore them down to use the stones for new buildings. We contemplated renting a car to see the sights but thought better of it. Glad we did, as driving is crazy here.
