    ... line to get served there was one lady serving and she was slow as a wet week, then as mum got to her she wandered off to do something not really sure what she then played round with the till next to her then another girl came over and they both played with the till, mum still standing there, you can't even give them a hurry along as she didn't speak English and bonjour, merci etc was not gonna cut it so after 5 minutes or so I said to mum how desperately do you want this.....we left ...

    ... From there to Euromast but unfortunately it was too overcast to go to the top for an overview.

    Rotterdam was a nice contrast to Amsterdam as it is more open with newer buildings, not as many canals so the atmosphere is quite different.

    Everything is so close here, so our trip to Brussels was very quick and we were checked into this very comfortable apartment by 11am. We have a large living/bed room, a kitchen ...

    ... au chocolatier. Après avoir visité la grande place, nous irons voir le Manneken Pis. Le bronze pissou gicle toujours, au grand plaisir des voyeurs. Essoufflé par la marche, Martine impose un arrêt à la terrassevant le Manneken Pis. Nous en profiterons pour déguster une variété de bières locale. La Zot, Nostradamus ne sont que des exemples des noms au menu. Bien rassasié, Martine et Stéphane retournerons au gîte pour ...

    ... and three angels, all beckoning to us. Of course they would want money, but what a great photo opportunity! I asked them who they worked for and they said the church. Didn't surprise us as we had seen a man in a red flowing robe in the Dom with a large wooden box around his neck for donations! The statutes had photos and then demanded €10...we gave them €1 after all we need to eat too. We walked the streets of Köln ...
