... we traversed brought an even more amazing vista. There were hundreds of motor bike riders who obviously knew of this road and flocked there to enjoy the ride. The road went from the small towns of Innertkirchen to Wassen and went over the Sustenpass. After just three days in Switzerland, we headed to the very small country of Liechtenstein which is just 25 km long by 12 km wide and is wedged in between Switzerland and Austria. ... to Chur to catch our train through the Anterior Rhine Valley to Disentis - the official start of our Rhine River Adventure.

So here's where Ms G (note the gender correction) came into her own. Unlike home, it would appear bicycle routes are well mapped in Switzerland. I guess it's demand driven and there's certainly plenty of bicycles and thousands of kilometres of bike paths. We entered our destination and our mode of transport (bicycle) and ...

Today we rode through what could have been the inspiration for those wonderful Hornby Model Train scenes - you know the ones - distant snow capped mountains, quaint villages nestled by the lake, green fields spotted with barns and gorgeous houses, rivers and bridges and lots and lots of trains! Unlike the Hornby scenes our journey included the smell of barn held cattle - phew what a stench! Our guide book said to follow 'Cycle Route 32' out of town. The challenge was finding any ...
