Hey there, sorry to have a gap in the virtual tourist ride. Yesterday, Sunday, we left Portoscuso and headed North on the Island to a fishing port called Alghero – not a small port by any standards – a mix of traditional fishing boats moared in with pleasure craft and charter boats. It is about one hour away so hop to it in the red rocket. It is at then end of a headland, the day is reasonable for the beach with sunshine and a ...

The castle and old town watches over you wherever you be, there as a security just as it has long done, perhaps as it should be. Today we are spending most of the day in the old town area which is within the walls of the old castle. Firstly we went on a wild goose chase looking for the Friday market that did not seem to be happening. Next we went down to the hotel where Debra's friend Piera works to introduce ourselves and say gidday. Now one just never knows what is going to be next ...
