... the centre of town. However, the place that we find, about a mile along, is brilliant! We have a fantastic meal of freshly grilled seafood for a very affordable price. During the rest of our short stay, we find the hotel staff to be really helpful and friendly and enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast with lots of local ingredients and classical music playing in the background. ... and Valencian paella is different. Meat is sautéed in the pan (chicken, pork, rabbit), then green vegetables are added (beans, leeks, etc), then garlic, tomatoes and water to make a broth. The rice is added last and by the time it is cooked, it has that "risotto" look (moist). It is not however the actual paella that makes this day so special......it is the fact that the entire town is sitting in the streets eating together!

... Spanish play with fire and fireworks in such a relaxed manner. On both nights we could sit in our van and listen to the pop music blaring out from the funfair in the town....remember the town is only 300m away....just the other side of a makeshift bullring - more of that later - shows are on every evening at 10pm and I have an assurance that the bulls are teased but not stabbed!
