... told to jump far to avoid the rapids. I think after my rappelling fiasco they didn't think I could jump so far so the guide was close to then platform. I jumped pretty far out and the current still took me. Without the guide pulling me out of the water it could have ended much differently. After the big jump it was pretty much over from there.
