... safe, but otherwise it was blissfully quiet except for cow-bells and passing trains. A local woman was strolling along picking wild mushrooms to take home, quite idyllic. As we strolled back down from Kleine Scheidegg, train after train chugged past us up towards the Jungfraujoch - and we decided that at SFr 250 a trip, the Swiss Railways are a licence to print money!

... old and we have all made friends. This morning we headed up to a lookout terrace called Harder Kulm. Standing at ground level and looking up the side of the mountain, it seems ludicrous that anyone would entertain building anything up there. It's a 10 min funicular ride up and once at the top there are amazing views down to Interlaken and across the valley to the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau ...

... It took about 2 hours - lots of exercise and fresh air. It's amazing how quiet it is up there. Just the sounds of leaves falling from trees and the occasional bird. When you get closer to bottom you can start to hear the cow bells below. And then the chickens and sheep.

As the instructions were in German a d it wasn't obvious which button was for which directions pushed then both as the train only stopped every 2 hours to Interlaken so I wanted to be sure.
