... t some great scenery, there was, but even though it is a Parc de Natural the area is dotted with half completed, massive, hotel ruins.
It’s absolutely criminal that developers have been allowed to trash this coastline. A lesson for Australia about inappropriate development in National Parks!

We have started following the green lines (scenic routes) on the road map as we start our return journey north and east to France. Following these lines will keep us away ...

... for beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, a couple of paragliders, and the fresh new snow on all the peaks.

This will be our last entry for this trip! If you've been reading along - thanks! We have had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the company of good friends Cindy and Ted McCord on these last 2 weeks of it!

... gondola of the day and 20 minutes later we reached the top, 3842m high. We were a little naive about the weather up at the top but we were quick to realise it wasn't a joke. ... right up there with swimming in the bioluminescent waters of Thailand and watching a million wrinkle- lipped bats emerge from their cave on the mountainside. I felt thrillingly alive, filled with awe, contentment, serenity, gratitude. We live in an amazing world, filled with such incredible things and places. I am lucky to have Joe right beside me, braving the arctic temperature to experience the moment with me.
