... it is so gorgeous, the hour-long revolution went by quickly. We could even see the shoulder of Mont Blanc in France!

We headed back down, and later joined the group to take the small train to Grutschalp, planning to hike back to Murren. The last few downhill yards threw Judith's knee out again, so after a light lunch in the bistro at Grutschalp, we returned by train. Uphill goes ...

The night was definitely a bonding experience for Topdeck. We witnessed the first hookups, the first rankings of who could hold their alcohol and stay on their feet the longest, sussed out the best dancers, drinkers, and the random people we eventually realised weren't even from our bus. And also, it was when all our immune systems started to ...

Today we explored mostly on foot both rims of the Lauterbrunnen valley. Of course we had
to take cable cars and trains to get to the places to walk. We started by walking to the cable car
station in town and taking the lift up to the Grutsshalp station where it connected to a train headed toward Murren. This is a major ski area in the winter time. We enjoyed noting where the lifts are installed ...
