Oslo, Zealand, Norway anthonygannon01... did do and leave behind some very valuable contributions to European culture. We will research what these contributions were. I think we will find that there were skills they left behind as well as cultural contributions. I can't wait to get started! BLOG ME with your RSVP so I know who I will pick up in the morning.
The Village of EtkinVille, Norway bhealdGet those sources out students! Blog me as fast as you can. I need to know how to help the villagers prepare. We have been to the castle, but many want to go home to check on their livestock. What should I tell them? Please work in your small groups and brainstorm ideas to propose plans for their self defense. You will need to use your creativity! Each group leader needs to blog me with their proposals as soon as possible!
The Village of EtkinVille, Norway bhealdThis is so exciting! However the villagers tell us that we need to stay within the village for the next few days as there is talk of Vikings in the area! We are really regretting the fact that we did not take more time to learn about the norwegian viking group and what they could do!
The Village of EtkinVille, Norway bhealdWe celebrated our fiftieth wedding anniversary with a trip with our daughter and her husband. This was in July 2006. We visited Austria first nice, and then Slidre, Norway. In Norway we visited my ancestral farm, the Nesja farm in Slidre. The present owner Oyvind Nesja and his family were very gracious. They wined and dined us and showed all the sights.
Slidre, Norway bnesja... from the Explorer back in Bergen. Sis has a new white paint job and now carries passengers for a Spanish cruise line. But those of you familiar with the Explorer may be amazed when ...
Flaam, Norway johnston9494... friend snowshoed. The ski hill wasn't very big and so this way we avoided paying for the lift ticket! I only got one run down though. The next day Afton and I fulfilled our dreams of ice climbing. It didn't last long enough though and we can't wait to do it again. We got two short ice climbs in. We were the guides best customers apparently since we were the first ones to show up that had ...
Geilo, Norway megs09... a bit of a background on Finse. Finse is basically an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. With a permanent population of about 22, from the months of May through to December, the resort "Finse 1222" caters to numerous Norwegian nature lovers, as well as to others from around the globe. In the winter the big thing is cross country skiing; in the summer, hiking (both mountain and on the glacier) and biking. Some other notable fun Finse facts: - during the second world war ...
Finse, Norway bradman... I had a hard time keeping both my SLR and digital camera dry. Spoiler Warning : Skip this paragraph if you want to keep Norway in a Nutshell experience a surprise. It was then when a lady in a red dress appeared, dancing in the waterfall and danced her way to the ruin. Luckily, I was the first few to spot her and some passengers who had returned to their carriages to avoid the sprays had to rushed out to catch a glimpse of her. Everyone was ...
Voss and Leikanger, Norway ricochet... major things are bilingual. The real challenge is with the little things that are Norwegian-only (like, for example, the juice machine). My breakfast juice choices were vall, plank, oobst, or puvoot. (It's like one big IKEA I tell ya.) I wanted orange juice (just like the picture), but I'm pretty sure I got a combination of fjord water and donkey juice. In fact, breakfast was a big challenge because I didn't know what anything was. I'm game to try it all, but I don't know how they ...
