    ... Lago Vivo. The first couple of hours were up hill through beech forest with steep limestone cliffs to our left and right. At the top of the ravine, Lago Vivo was a bit of a disappointment – it was more a puddle than a lake. The mountains surrounding the coll however more than made up for it.     ... on the other side of the valley, the Serra della Gravare with Monte San Nicola at 1900m high. The walk started well and then we started climbing through forest with no distinct path, guided only by red and white markers on rocks and trees. We hit the snow after about 2 hours walking. It made walking a bit more tricky but nothing too difficult.
