      Back in sulmona. Car now getting repaired so with no car decided to go walkabout for a few days while weather hot. Thinking of going upto top of mountain tomorrow....       ... of the locals, and were amazed at how many free nibbles accompanied the drinks - seems to be a tradition here. And when we ordered a second drink, more nibbles arrived, so we ended up not wanting to go out for dinner because we were already full! The prices here are even cheaper than Florence - €6.50 for two drinks (plus all the free nibbles), in an outside garden where we were able to watch all the comings and goings. Not a bad life at ...

      Beatrice, the bar lady tony is so popular with grabbed me while walking past with Rosie and asked if tony could look at cooker for old lady. Went off in possey of old ladies to her house. Then he had to try to fix cooker with heard of women looking on.....after that Beatrice grabbed him and asked him to fix her washing machine switch.
