My roommate, Nikki, is delightful and almost as drowsy from jet lag as I am. Our room is outfitted entirely in Ikea furniture/sheets/rolled up pillows. It's all very white with a few hints of black and gray. ...

The particles from a collision event leave tracks & deposit energy in the detector. The detector is named ATLAS, which is investigating why the matter of the universe is dominated by an unknown type called dark matter. If the constituents of dark matter are new particles, ATLAS should discover them & solve the mystery.

... to the travel hotline confirms such. A change in plans, we head to the train station to catch the train to Lausanne to catch the ferry to Evian. We manage to catch the 12:30 ferry to Evian. As we get there it dawns us that we are back in France and almost everything closes down between 12 and 2pm. So the first 60mins is fairly quiet with lunch about the only thing on the menu with the far more reasonable prices! The town is ...
