... swim in. We went into town but because it was Sunday everything was closed. We went back to the lake and found out where all the people were. It was very crowded and every second person had a small bbq. There was that many bbqs that the air was thick with smoke, talk about smoke on the water. It was nighttime, so I could not see the snow-covered mountains well as they begin to pass outside the windows. It really wasn't until the next morning that I caught my first glimpse of the Alps, something I will never forget!

Please keep reading on the next post about my Friday night, Saturday and Sunday in the Alps!

... sand shoes for 35 euro. This is the first thing I've bought! Another lovely boat ride home and an early night with room service in bed - I ordered perch (fish) and apple strudel for dessert. The fish was lovely, but it was really just a fillet with chips on the side. The strudel was also nice, with ice cream and vanilla sauce, but really - just strudel and ice cream. The price all up, including an apple juice? 60 francs - that is NZ$80! I'll charge that one to the ...
