Our first stop on the way to the Black Forest region was Heidelberg, at the suggestion of our neighbor. What an adorable old German city. ... We observed an oversized chess game for awhile and then made our way to the palace and got our free admission! The museum covered three floors and had artifacts from 400BC to the present. ... the line was so long to try on everything, I assumed my sizes were correct and failed on 2 pairs of shorts. But Steffie got 3 handbags so she was happy.

Once we stepped out of the madness I was pretty much done for the day. We walked back to Ettlinger Tor past the Federal Court of Justice, St Stephan's church and the State Museum of Natural History so I guess we have a few more things to check out when we come back again! Next time by train...

... It was fun to hear someone else’s tour concert, tho, and we were glad we weren’t in charge. The total group of about 200 had been touring for about two weeks and were to fly back the next day.

We went into the church where Nile’s choir performed back in the '90’s. We took some pictures there, as it was renovated in the early 2000’s, so it looks different. We wandered a bit and bought sausages for our train trip the next day and a ...
