... We travelled along the autobahn where trucks and buses have a 100km speed limit but cars have none although it's a bit of an unwritten rule that 200km is the limit for cars. We did see a few whizzzzz past a few times. Forgot to mention yesterday that in Belgium you're charged 50 cents to use the toilets which had everyone saving their coins for the next stop. ... a village, amazed to find a Butchers!!!! hurray, closed of course as it's Sunday. Also a bakers, general shop and a few cafes and a restaurant or two. The campsite is walking distance to the village. We stopped for Coffee and Kuchen, a huge slice of national park cake was placed in front of us, a blueberry and cream torte, ordered in German as the waitress pretended to speak zero English.

... big tradition in Germany. Conny brought out a box of decorations, lights and real candles. We spent just over an hour decorating the tree and placing the candles on the tips of the branches. It looked gorgeous!! Just needed night time to come so we could light the candles. Setting of the table was to be a surprise by Conny, so Ric and I headed back downstairs for a nap, to wrap presents for Conny & Berni and write cards. We came back up just after 4 as it was time ...

... or the gardens, one has an amazing view of Heidelberg, the Neckar River, and the Neckar valley far into the Rhine plain. On a clear day, Mannheim is even visible on the horizon.
