All of Thursday night and for a few days following, Scooter was stomach sick, so Molly and I headed out to Konstanz, Germany to see the village where her Great-grandfather was born. It was a four to five hour train ride so we were gone most of the day. On Saturday Henning, Molly ...
Munich, Bavaria, Germany scooterandlaura... us as we entered Theresienwiese. There were rollercoasters, haunted houses, giant ferris wheels, scattered amongst these enormous beer tents as big as soccer fields. Each brand of beer has its own tent, some of which are exclusive as we found when we were denied entry to the first one we tried. We quickly found another and were amazed at what we saw. Germans all dressed in traditional Bavarian costumes, standing on chairs and tables, all holding 1 litre beer steins, singing at ...

Munich, Bavaria, Germany jv3117... and Chris! The boys made us dinner - lasgane and pizza, fantastic! Then they took us out to a swanky bar in our ripped jeans, jandals and shorts. The next day we had a look around town, pretty cool place, reminded me a bit of Amsterdam. We left with Digger and Paula to France, stopping just short of Annecy for the night. Katie and Hamish caught up with us the next day and then a drive day to meet up with everyone that night on the A75, just short of Milau. Cheers Ants & Cy
Munich, Germany ants... Scotland's expense. As I didn't fly out until late on the Sunday, I had a few hours to check out Munich's tourist spots and the Royal Palace in the centre of town was impressive. The trip also witnessed my greatest act of gluttony, mainly because I could claim everything back on expenses. Having polished off a typically grandiose German meal, I breezed straight into another restaurant and ordered some more Roast Beef.
Munich, Germany kevin.mcallion... make your vacation a memorable one. Summer & Fall are the time for beer-fests, with Octoberfest taking place in Munich during the month of September (I know it's very confusing - sorry). During the holiday season the city glows with beautiful lights, cozy Christmas markets and one of Germany's highest rated sauna landscapes. Skiing is very ...
Bad Aibling, Germany schlossie... but she ended up not being able to take me, so I spent my new years watching a Grease marathon. When it got to 11.30 I went for a bit of a walk to see the fireworks down the street. They were incredible! I tried to take some photos but because my flash takes so long, by the time I took the photo it was just of a black sky. THe fireworks display lasted for over an hour. I walked back to Cori´s and saw the rest from her balcony. Cori had an amazing view of all ...

Dachau, Germany shanewilson... to the German live band playing traditional Bavarian songs shuffled with the occasional Hasselhoff classic. Growing bold, we took an excursion up to the stage to dance. Silliness ensued. At the end of the night, I still had a now somewhat more acute problem of no place to stay while being somewhat less capable at that moment of addressing that particular problem. Fortunately, the train station didn't let me down and presented an economical and safe ...
