... of eight from there to the hotel in their minivan.

The trams are great: clean, cheap, and all electric. The city of Geneva (from what I could see) was really clean too, with recycling bins everywhere there's a rubbish bin. The water here even tastes like New Zealand water! The hotel is really nice too, with big modern rooms. Definitely nice to have some space after ...

After a 9.5 hour flight to Frankfurt, a long bus ride at the airport to the next plane, and a short 50 minute flight, we are in Geneva. Figured out how to take a bus to the hotel, overpaid, arrived and finally got our room. Slight problem with our reservation - they had us down for 2 people only. Kids will have to sleep outside in the rain ;-) --- Went downtown and joined a festival... Walked around, ate drank, got wet, and enjoyed the fireworks... Everyone is beat... Off to ...

... concierge failed to tell me that it was a toll road. I just changed the Euros in my wallet into Francs so all I had were Swiss Francs. I was sweating a little bit until I saw the toll boths accepted credit cards, genius! Annecy looked great and we saw that it has some canals so I guess that is why they call it Venice. It was a charming town with a very nice lake. It was overcast so it wasn't as nice as it ...
