... crowded restaurant where I had the most delusions chicken in cream truffle sauce topped off with marinated strawberries, ice cream and crushed meringue, John had a beautiful steak and chips. Once we got to the Eiffel we realised being a weekend the queues were long so we decided to come back tomorrow after we have booked on-line which means we can jump to the front ...

I'm sitting in the Emirates departure lounge in Geneva waiting to board my flight to Sydney via Dubai in 50 minutes. It’s now 1.45 pm local time and I’ve just saw via the SMH site that South Sydney have won their first rugby league championship since 1971. I’m really pleased for Souths although my family has always barracked for the Bulldogs or "Berries" (Canterbury) as we knew them, Souths have seen some ...

After lunch at a sandwich shop (on great French bread) in Duingt, we rode back to Annecy. We got back to Annecy just in time to return the bikes and hop on a 1 hour boat tour on the lake.

Returning back at the hotel around 5, we enjoyed some wine and other goodies on ...

With free transportation included in the (exorbitant) room fee it's easy to hop on a train, tram, boat or bus and find your way to all the major sights. By the end of our stay we saw the Palace of Nations, walked through many parks, passed fountains (some working others planted) including the huge one that's impossible to miss on the waterfront. ...

... Old Town is charming and Geneva is so clean and nice to walk around. Were gonna watch the World Cup later and the hang at the pool. We ended up getting to the pool after 6pm and they close at 6pm and start setting up for their Pool Terrace restaurant. A let down but it just gave us more time to walk around. We watched the World Cup and it appears my good luck charm suggestions are not true, oh well. Tomorrow is cheese and chocolate!
