... because the NSU plant used to churn out rotary-powered cars and top end motorcycles there. In 1969 they were bought out by the Volkwagen Group and ended up forming Audi with Auto Union. The Lidl supermarket chain is also based in Neckarsulm. I didn't know that the town is named after the two rivers Neckar and Sulm, which converge in the town. Another word for this natural occurrence is one of my favourites: confluence.

... our meals. Thanks to Lily we met some lovely people from the town seated at the next table. They helped us with the 5 varieties of snitzel on the menu, recommended a beer for Clint & dessert for the kids.

Snitzel all around - delicious!

It was a lovely atmosphere & a great experience to stay in a smaller town rather than in the larger, more touristy ones.

We enjoyed the night, and no wifi.

ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS. 24.11.14 Meersburg to Schwabish Hall. Left Meersburg this morning after a lovely breakfast and nice goodbye from our breakfast waitress. Went to pay the bill and they forgot to charge for the Thermal Baths which we reminded them of and paid, in any case the bill was €100 cheaper than I calculated.
