... and that they could have chosen for a birthday dinner, we all came here. Throughout my stay in Italy, I had become contented being on my own and discovering things for my own knowledge and enjoyment. We were up early today to catch the bus from a Cortona to Camucia. Camucia is the town at the base of the hill on which sits Cortona and it has the railway station. The trip to Florence took about an hour and a half and took us through the Tuscan country side, so the time passed reasonably quickly. They are both from the US and studying in Florence, so we went to their house and had some drinks. After drinks we went for a walk to one of three secret bakeries in town. These are bakeries that whilst cooking the bread for the next morning, will sell some for a very small price, we all got a chocolate croissant and headed our separate ...

... we rose early to hop on our bus for Piza and the walled town of Lucca. With Claire leading the way and providing awesome historical background, we toured Piza until about 1pm, when we left for Lucca. Piza was astoundingly beautiful. Aside from the tower, the baptistery and Duomo were absolutely breathtaking. I spent the entire time craning my neck in awe. In this entry I am including a video of a man singing into the center of the Piza baptistery, a building so well crafted and large ...
