... to a bruschetta topping of tomato, balsamic, garlic, etc. It was so, so yummy. Then since it was our one night in Florence, we even had dessert. We had some more Panna Cotta and this time it was topped with a dark caramel sauce and, oh my, was it delicious.

... causing traffic jams inside the unventilated hot passages, which didn’t help. Obviously being on the dome, you also can’t see the dome, which is one of the main wow factors of the skyline. Nevertheless, the view is spectacular, and being up close to the inside of the dome is up there with St Peters.

I hopped off my speedy train from Milan and arrived in Florence early in the morning, where the weather was wonderfully Mediterranean.
