      ... Cathedrals is often the life work of a few generations within families.No doubt the construction of such would have been pivotal for much community, religious and political power struggles.

      So what of Cologne? I haven't researched this in depth but I would imagine that the French feel to the place stems way back to the roots of the Frankish Empire. Happy to be corrected on that...did I mention how good Steve Smith is going? Fair dinkum he will do ...

      Beautiful blue skies this morning but bitterly cold. Before setting off on the drive to Bonn we made a quick tour of central Antwerp to take in some of the sights we missed in the rain the day before.       ... what I'm talking about. We all opted to make a bag of custom selected goodies which I thought would last me until the end of the trip but darn that Haribo goodness.       ... with leaving the train to discard our trash....oh, that need for an adrenaline rush! He hasn't had much excitement since we rode the bus in Berlin without a ticket.
